The Sarah Palin Effect – Making Liberal Men Feel Inferior

Chalk up another victim to the Sarah Palin Effect. This week we highlight lil’ Davey Zurawick and ponder the cause and effect of this ever increasing phenomenon.

It seems that far left extremists like Zurawick are upset that Sarah Palin has shot a caribou and isn’t facing criminal charges for the horrific crime of providing food for her family.

Never mind that countless outdoors shows across the television landscape show similar events. Outdoorsmen enjoying the gifts of nature, challenging their own instincts and abilities to bag that fish or animal to feed their friends and family  – and possibly giving them a few weeks of bragging rights over their fellow hunters who weren’t so fortunate on their last excursion. These ‘other’ outdoors shows air daily – yet we hear no outrage over their efforts to glean protein and nourishment from the lands, lakes and rivers which naturally provide it.

When Sarah Palin displays her own savvy for the hunt, takes note of the freshness of a particular set of wolf tracks or lends a hand on a fishing trip suddenly the liberal world erupts in feigned outrage. What exactly has Sarah done so differently than any of the other hearty souls who brave the elements in pursuit of their prey while enjoying the wonders of nature?

Well, she’s a woman of course (and a decidedly attractive one at that). Thus endeth the differences.

It appears to me that Sarah Palin is having quite an effect on the minds and psyche of liberal men. They see Sarah out there doing the things that we have traditionally associated with men. Men are the hunters. Women are the gatherers. At least, that’s how we were taught things were back in the days before we ‘evolved’ into sissified society where hunting consists of searching for bargains at the local supermarket or finding the best parking space at the mall.

Seeing Sarah Palin so effortlessly perform as hunter and provider has apparently awoken a sense of inferiority in many of today’s men who have lost these abilities (or worse yet never learned them in the first place). Seeing Sarah Palin shoot a caribou, quarter it without so much as a grimace, take it home and prepare it for the freezer highlights just how pathetic and incompetent today’s male really is if it ever came down to having to provide for ones self ‘pioneer style’.

This is a crushing realization to them. They have already been taught by their lamestream media propaganda masters that they should not like Sarah Palin. They’ve been taught that she is irrelevant and shouldn’t be taken seriously – and yet the obsess about her endlessly (well, so do I – but my obsession is a healthy and supportive one). When they see her doing these things they know they themselves could never do it makes them feel small. Incomplete. Inferior.

These folks already know that they are incapable of providing for themselves – and so is much of of America. This is why we see them touting the government as the answer for all their needs. We see them tell us that things like food, housing and healthcare are ‘rights’ that should be provided for all by the government.

So what happens when the government ceases to function to provide for all? When the populace becomes dependent on the government, over time they lose the ability to provide for themselves. If the government cannot provide – they will simply wither and die like the delicate flowers they are.

We have already gone too far down this road, and the numbers of hunters and fishermen are in decline in the general population. We’ve been taught guns are evil and harmful things that only criminals posses. Today’s youth are too often ignorant of gun safety. Instead, political groups rally to restrict or outlaw gun ownership – the Constitution be damned. If today’s parent enrolled their pre-teen in a gun safety course they would probably be reported to Child Protection Services.

Are you really comfortable with the idea of our society becoming a gun fearing society that has lost the ability to hunt or fish and provide for itself if even on an occasional, largely recreational basis? I know I am not.

When I grew up my father made sure I learned about gun safety, and was certified in a gun safety course. My family isn’t exactly a gun totin’ group of avid outdoorsmen, and I myself do not hunt – although seeing Sarah Palin out there stalking her prey is inspiring me. Still, there is a value in learning respect for guns early in life and experiencing the joys of hunting and fishing (we did fish quite a bit). Those rules of gun safety, respect for the outdoors and the enjoyment that can be gotten from experiencing the thrill of reaping the benefits of nature are things that are embedded into my very being.

Men like Zurawick see Sarah Palin doing these things so effortlessly and with such enjoyment it makes them realize they are no better equipped to handle themselves in the wild than Kate Gosselin.

No offense to Kate – I actually give her credit for being bold enough to actually TRY to enjoy life Sarah-style. Had the weather been a little better I think she may have actually toughed out a night in the woods even if she didn’t enjoy it a great deal.

…which is more than I can say for David Zurawick or Aaron Sorkin. Their fear of being exposed as having less cojones than Sarah Palin would have kept them firmly planted on their couch.

I Love Sarah Palin

OK, I admit it. I love Sarah Palin.

I’ve gone beyond crush mode here. I just put a ‘Palin 2012’ sticker on my car. This is a full-on love affair with sordid fantasies of hunting, fishing and camping in the wilds of Alaska with Sarah, Todd, Track, Bristol, Willow, Piper, Trig, Tripp and the entire Palin clan. I want to fish for salmon with Track, club halibut with Bristol, shoot a caribou with Sarah, Chuck, Becker and then taunt Willow and Piper with the entrails before doing the Iron Dog with Todd.

In case you haven’t guessed, I have just finished watching the latest episode of Sarah Palin’s Alaska. Is this show freaking great or what?!?!?

I’ve been a supporter of Sarah for a long time. I vaguely knew who she was before McCain announced her as a running mate. Occasionally I’d run across a YouTube of one her appearances and I’d think ‘too bad she is stuck in Alaska’. I wasn’t a big McCain supporter, but Sarah mentioned as a VP candidate caught my attention. I was definitely rooting for her.

Sarah has busted out. She has had a growing influence on America for a couple years now – but she has now gone over the top. I have been amazed over the previous year and a half with her ability to overcome her resignation as Governor and turn it into a positive move. Surely Sarah wouldn’t be able to speak out on national issues or have the ability to do this Alaska series had she remained Governor.

Palin had already turned her resignation into the most impressive run I have witnessed by any politician before this series even aired. She turned the health care debate to ‘death panels’ that DO exist no matter how much liberals pretend they don’t. Rationing is an integral part of government health care and Sarah put it on the table in a way that couldn’t be ignored. Every ‘tweet’ and Facebook post is a bulls eye with the American public that demands media attention and discussion.

The media’s feeble spin to rebuff her commentary and their constant irrelevant criticisms of Sarah and her family only further expose their bias and agenda to the American people.

I am really upset there are only 8 episodes of this incredible show. I suppose the uproar of Alaskan’s hunting for food would have detrimental effects of future shows anyways – but America needs this show more than Obama needs a teleprompter.

This show celebrates providing food that the land naturally provides instead of the far less appealing commercial beef, dairy, pork or poultry options we usually use. This is a wonderful thing, and yet we see left wing commentary that tries to paint this show in a violent or cruel manner. Their fake uproar is beyond ridiculous and once again exposes their bias against Sarah.

Few people want Sarah to run in 2012 more than I do, but I am starting to come to the realization that it may not matter if she runs or not. In fact, she may have quite a bit more influence on America by declining – yes declining – a run at the Presidency in 2012.

That is, if the Palin family is willing to live their life in the public spotlight for the rest of us to enjoy and grow with. You see, my Palin love extends far beyond Sarah. This is an amazing family that should be celebrated and embraced. As much as I would love to see her run in 2012 – the political spotlight might ultimately damage a brand that seems to be flourishing quite well on it’s own.

Still, deep down inside me I know seeing liberal heads explode when she wins would be more than worth it, and the country would certainly be better off for it.

Diary of a Wimpy President

Remember when you were a kid and you would get all the neighborhood kids together to play a game? You’d play king of the hill or smear the que…err… guy with the football and it was all good fun until that one kid got hurt.

You know the kid. Other kids would fall down and scrape their knee, rub some dirt on it and get back up to keep on playing. Then there was this kid:

This kid would get hurt, cry for about half an hour and then run home to mommy. After getting a healing kiss on his boo-boo he’d sit at the window and watch the rest of you play.

Now, I give Obama credit for getting out there and playing some hoops. Everybody should have some physical activity as an outlet. Bumps and bruises are sure to follow. I can’t mock him for getting hurt in the pursuit of fun and fitness for that is a noble and rewarding endeavor to be praised.

For this ultra vain man who is ever conscious and controlling of his public appearance would it be asking too much to not look like a feeble loner struggling to find a way to fit in with the other kids?

Then again, a picture speaks a thousand words.

Bristol Palin Wins DWTS Simply By Exposing Lame Stream Media Smear Machine

As Dancing With The Stars concludes another season Bristol Palin has already proven she possesses a whole lot of the can-do spirit of father and Iron Dog champ Todd Palin, as well as a healthy dose of mother Sarah’s ability to rise above the constant attacks of her often deranged critics.

Bristol is a beautiful young woman with an amazingly upbeat attitude for a single mother who has had such a public on again/off again relationship with her say-anything publicity seeking low life Baby Daddy. What could she have possibly done to inspire folks to shoot their TV’s or mail suspicious powders to the DWTS set?

By my count – absolutely nothing. Some of her more sane critics point to the fact that she has survived at the expense of better dancers, but don’t we see that every season? This is a staple of the American Idol/DWTS genre. How is Bristol so different? Others say ‘she isn’t a star’ but give a free pass to the Audrina Patridge’s and the Kelly Osbourne’s of the ‘celebrity’ world. This is also part of the reality show phenomenon. You can be famous for literally anything.

No, there is something else at work and it is revealed in the actions of her more extreme critics. The ‘haters’ as Bristol would call them. The people responsible for the haters? Her mother would call them the Lame Stream Media.

The same Lame Stream Media that got the nation so riled up to hate President Bush and promised us Obama was the The One. As Sarah Palin recently pointed out, the media failed in vetting Obama. They intentionally failed in vetting Obama because they were too busy promoting the world-healing bumper sticker campaign of ‘Hope and Change’. They also knew that vetting him would show a man most American’s wouldn’t trust very much or support in the voting booth.

They did vet Sarah Palin – or at least they tried. Since there wasn’t much there but an honest to goodness American success story the media decided to focus some of their Bush hatred towards Sarah Palin. They couldn’t have a pro-life Christian conservative be a role model for young women. The horror! The horror! No, the media needed to destroy this woman before she presented a reasonable alternative to the left’s idea’s of a liberated woman. A modern woman has to be a man-hating abortion-loving vegan who throws fake blood on less enlightened women who dare wear a fur coat to keep warm before NOW supports you.

So they mounted a smear campaign against her. Granted, the poorly run McCain campaign made a terrible decision by granting a 90 hour interview with the uber catty Katie Couric. The tension in that interview was obvious. When Sarah rightfully took offense to Couric’s demeaning line of questioning of what she was able to read up there in Alaska I thought it showed Palin had guts to push back against Couric’s assumption that Alaska was out of touch. Of course, the media reported it as Palin not being able to cite a news source she read.

They decided to paint her as ‘dumb’. They twisted the facts of ‘Troopergate’ to report on a scandal they knew didn’t exist. Tine Fey did her part – as did countless late night hosts and TV series (Fey and Couric actually received awards for their anti-Palin efforts).

Andrew Sullivan invented a Trig conspiracy. Kids are off limits – except for the Palin kids is the rule the Lame Stream Media lives by. There is no line that cannot be crossed while smearing Palin without nodding approval from the Lame Stream Media smear machine and their brainwashed followers.

The masses in America don’t really read the news or educate themselves by searching out truths on their own. Most just turn on the tube and repeat what they are told. They see Jon Stewart tell them to hate Sarah Palin so they do. FOX News is another target.  Make your targets the subject of constant attacks to marginalize them. Mainstream their ridicule and unreasonable methods can be used to silence them.

They paint the Tea Party as extremist racists – but if you’ve ever been to a Tea Party event it has more of a family reunion feel to it than anything. They are the best behaved political rallies I have ever been to. People actually tend to be informed instead of the unwashed tie-dye wearing  idiots at most political rallies on the left.

Instead of finding their own political voice and uniting in a genuine positive, peaceful grass roots movement like the Tea Party the left is losing their sanity because Bristol Palin has a DWTS fan base and America has decided to support this family that has been under near constant attack from nearly all media outlets.

What do you think these ‘haters’ will do if Sarah Palin is elected President? Will the Lame Stream Media accept responsibility when one of the people they have driven to action actually hurts someone with their actions? Will it be enough to forgive them?

Whatever the outcome of the voting, Bristol has impressed this season. She has displayed tenacity, humility, grace and fortitude while improving vastly from week one. She beamed confidence during her Jive and danced a very challenging freestyle number. I think she was unfairly docked a point by Bruno and Carrie Ann for a less technical version of the number, but it’s not an unreasonable deduction.

…it’s not like I’m going to shoot my TV over it.
